Arizona Tucson Mission

I am called to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Arizona Tucson Mission; Spanish speaking. I am so incredibly excited! It just feels so right. Nothing has felt more right to me before. I know that this is where the Lord needs me most and I will be speaking the language that I am most needed. I report to the Missionary Training Center on October 20, 2010. My entire life I dreamed of serving a mission. Now it's finally here. The enthusiasm is there, but I would be lying if I didn't say that I was scared even just a little. I will be giving up 18 months of my life and I am not guaranteed success. My biggest fear in serving a mission is that all my efforts will be in vain. That I will work all day, every day and give it my all and not see any success. I know though that when we are on the Lords errand we are entitled to the Lords help. If I just work hard, obey with exactness, and follow the spirit I cannot fail. For my God is with me withersoever I goest. I haven't felt this happy in a long time. Serving a misison is where I want to be and my Heavenly Father approves of my decision. I can't wait to get out there! I know I will face challenges. I know there will be hard times. I also know that I won't regret my decision to serve. It's just another step in becoming who God wants me to become.
